    Are you ready to take the next step in your career and work with the latest fiber access technologies? Do you want to apply your network engineering skills in an international environment while also growing your automation and coding knowledge?
  • Join our Fixed Access Network squad within Deutsche Telekom’s Technology Delivery International (TDI) team. As a mid-level network engineer, your main responsibility will be to support the development, validation, and operation of modern optical access networks. You’ll work with technologies such as 50GPON, FTTR, and modern management interfaces (REST APIs, Kafka, Telemetry, IPFIX) in a dedicated lab environment that encourages learning and innovation.

What You’ll Do

  • Validate New Solutions: Test and qualify new access hardware, software, and management systems in our multi-vendor lab.
  • Support Network Projects: Contribute to migration and rollout projects, ensuring smooth transitions to new platforms and technologies.
  • Work with Interfaces: Apply modern protocols (RESTCONF, NETCONF, Kafka, Telemetry, IPFIX) for provisioning and troubleshooting.
  • Enhance Workflows: Improve provisioning and troubleshooting workflows, and create simple automations where needed.
  • Automate Where It Matters: Use scripting (e.g., Python, Ansible) to build small tools that make daily work more efficient.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with international colleagues to share findings, support deployments, and drive improvements.
