About the Role

Do you enjoy working with modern cloud-native technologies and keeping critical platforms running smoothly and securely? We’re looking for a DevOps Engineer to join Deutsche Telekom’s Technology Delivery International (TDI) and help deploy and operate automation frameworks on our CaaS infrastructure. In this role, you’ll take ownership of running and evolving Kubernetes-based platforms, ensuring reliability, security, and scalability of cloud-native network functions. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams and play a key role in building automated, resilient delivery pipelines and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build & Operate: Deploy, operate, and continuously improve our automation framework components on CaaS with a strong focus on Kubernetes.
  • Cloud-Native Operations: Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Cloud-Native Applications (CNFs) and Kubernetes Operators.
  •  CI/CD Automation: Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable fast, reliable software delivery.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with development and platform teams to deploy and manage scalable, secure CNFs.
  • Security by Design: Implement and enforce best practices (RBAC, least privilege, TLS, image hygiene, vulnerability remediation, secrets management).
  • Secrets Management: Manage secrets end-to-end using tools like HashiCorp Vault (policies, authentication, rotation, auditing) and integrate with Kubernetes and CI/CD.
  •  Observability & Reliability: Build and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure platform health and performance.
  • Incident Management: Handle incidents and changes, and lead root-cause analysis to continuously improve system resilience.

What we are looking for

  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience
  • Kubernetes Expertise: Hands-on experience operating production workloads on Kubernetes, including troubleshooting and performance tuning.
  • Cloud-Native Know-how: Experience with CNFs and Kubernetes Operators in real-world environments.
  • CI/CD Skills: Strong experience building and maintaining automated pipelines.
  •   Security Mindset: Solid understanding of platform security practices (RBAC, TLS, secrets management, vulnerability handling).
  • Secrets Management: Practical experience with tools like HashiCorp Vault and integrating them into platform workflows.
  • DevOps Mindset: A proactive, ownership-driven approach to building, running, and improving systems end-to-end.

Nice to have

  • Experience with GitOps tools (ArgoCD, Flux).
  • Familiarity with observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
  • Experience working in telco or large-scale distributed environments.
  • Scripting or coding skills (e.g., Bash, Python, Go).
